Our Objectives Are Reflected In Our Name
Covenant… In the simplest of terms it is a contract between two people or groups. But in the Bible it has a much deeper meaning. Strongs Concordance defines it as a compact made by passing between pieces of cut flesh, not simply ink on paper. It is in this Spirit and mentality that this school is founded. First in our commitment to Jesus, and then to each other as teachers and students for the sake of His Kingdom and its expansion throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh and beyond.
Apostolic… This is not a particular denomination or doctrine, but rather a Biblical mandate of making disciples and turning them into Apostles; ambassadors; “sent ones” commissioned for the Gospel. An Apostle breaks new ground, lays the foundation and builds the Church with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone (Eph. 2:20). They do this with patience, signs, wonders and mighty deeds (2 Cor. 12:12). CSAM will have many guest teachers with differing gifts and areas of specialty, but the school as a whole will have this Apostolic flavor as it trains and equips men and women to take the Gospel where others have not gone. Since the vision of India Christian Ministries is to saturate the state of Andhra Pradesh with 22,000 churches, a true Apostolic center is needed to fulfill this vision.
Ministry… Service. Work. An open hand. These are simple terms for what can sometimes be a complicated or difficult task. While many can perform a task because they are told to do it, fewer actually take the vision upon themselves as their own. This school will attempt to instill into the students the heart, the passion and the vision to keep serving, with determination, regardless of the circumstances. There is a joy in obedience and serving our King (Acts 20:24)! We minister to our King and we minister to each other by His grace and ability on our lives. May we become like “the house of Stephanas, who addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints” (1 Cor. 16:15).
